Hi Bricks Team,
First of all, thank you for the incredible work on Bricks. It has become my go-to builder for its performance and clean code output.
I’m writing to suggest a specific improvement for the native Image Gallery element. Currently, it offers Grid, Masonry, and Metro layouts. While these are great, they lack the behavior of Flexbox with flex-grow, which is essential for certain editorial layouts.
The Request: Could you add a “Flex” layout option that allows items to expand and fill the remaining space in the last row?
Use Case: Imagine a gallery set to 5 columns. If I have 9 images:
-
Row 1: 5 images (standard width).
-
Row 2: 4 images. Instead of leaving empty white space on the right, these 4 images should expand equally to fill 100% of the container’s width.
This “justified” look is standard in high-end editorial design (magazines, portfolios) and currently requires custom CSS overrides or complex workarounds in Bricks.
Adding a simple toggle for “Grow last row” or “Justify items” would make the native Gallery element truly complete for professional use cases.
Thank you for considering this request!
