Exclude certain categories from Products Filter

I have a filter that is pulling in all Categories (parent and sub), but I’d like to be able to exclude certain categories from the filter.

Is this possible? Or do I just need to hide options with CSS?

I am also on the hunt for the answer to this. So, bump.

Support. This option is needed to exclude taxonomy terms from the filter operation en masse or selectively.

I am also trying to add a filter to an existing filter (Select)

Hi @dapan, did you find a solution?
@Support, Is there a solution for this in place or in the pipeline?

It’s crazy to me how something as basic as the ability to have control over your product filter, that literally every single ecommerce stores have, but WordPress Woocommerce for past decade has not implemented.
I cannot justify nor see how anyone in the ecommerce business can trust being on WordPress where the learning curve is not only already insanely steep, but also lacking support (or nonexistence solution) for so many basic things an online store need.

I don’t know why everybody online just blindly say “oh yeah if you want full control go with Woocommerce”. In the past 3 weeks I have met roadblocks after roadblocks, the most painful hair pulling web design experience I have ever experienced.
What really dumb is, with Bricks, you can clearly see how far the customization can be. But everything else around it is a nightmare.

There are so many great things about Bricks and WordPress and WooCommerce. No one system is 100% perfect.

WooCommerce is an absolute dumpster fire, and always has been. Unfortunately there’s no reasonable alternative in the WP space as of right now (neither SureCart nor NorthCommerce are where they need to be), so I just don’t do eCommerce builds
