Browser: Chrome 112 / Edge 112 OS: macOS Ventura 13.3.1 URL: test.namox.de Bricks Versions: 1.7.2 and 1.7.3 experienced issues in both versions

It’s the first time I’m working on a big client website with Bricks and I’m encountering a lot of bugs while editing the pages. My main task is to rebuild the website from WP-Bakery to Bricks. I’m copying stuff and also setting things from ground up.
These are some issues I’m encountering not everytime but too often on Chrome and the new Edge Browser:
Copying text from old site to new site using the canvas results into seeing the text on the canvas but not in the toolbar. When I change the HTML Tag from h3 to h1 for example on the toolbar the text on the canvas gets reset.
Once I was working with grid. I completed 1 block design and duplicated it several times and edited the rest. After reloading the editor only the first one was left. (duplicating was done from the structure panel)
Copying and pasting in the canvas often has these mentioned issues, where doing the same things on the structure panel are working 99%
just recently I edited the top- & bottom padding of a block with the new toggle to do both at the same time. Padding wasn’t visibly applied. I reloaded the page = toolbar showing padding but canvas not >> retyping fixed the issue.
Unfortunately there are more problems of these kinds and I’m often reloading the editor because I’m setting stuff up that don’t match on the canvas. And I’m reloading even more to make sure the things I took long for are indeed there.
I hope this gets fixed soon. This is exhausting when you have to edit 120 pages and posts.
Next Issue: I setup grid in canvas and structure panel – the items are displayed correctly on the canvas but the frontpage is not registering it like that. I regenerated Bricks CSS files and cleared cache. I even deactivated WP-Rocket and Perfmatters but same result. I need to rebuild that part again I’m sure.
I hope it’s alright when I list the issues I’m encountering here in this single posting.
The following issue also comes up quite often: In the example of the screenshot I copied the “Standard Text” above the divider > I click on the divider from the structure panel to paste that element right under it. But as you can see the pasted “Standard Text” got pasted on the Section-Level.
Sometimes clicking on elements on the canvas is not activating the settings in the toolbar. In the screenshot you can see that Rich-Text-Element is selected but the toolbar on the left side is still showing the elements panel. Also clicking on other Elements won’t show the settings.
Only after reloading the page this issue is resolved.
Generally, it is better if you open a separate thread for each problem, as we can then clearly reference each problem and create a task for it if necessary.
It would also be good to have screencasts and step-by-step instructions so that we know how to reproduce the problem continuously - this is the basic prerequisite for being able to fix it.
If you use a screencast tool like https://birdeatsbug.com or https://jam.dev, you can do without the step-by-step instructions, because they log every single step, making it possible to understand and probably reproduce the issue. However, it helps enormously if you speak during the video and explain what is going on. A video without sound is always much harder to follow.
As I said, it would be great if you would create a separate thread for each “bug” including birdeatsbug or jam video, so that I can work through them piece by piece. Thanks!
i just posted some bugs mentioned here one by one. I just found out that I was using the 1.8 beta but everything I posted I also experienced in 1.7.2 and 1.7.3
what seems to be solved in 1.8 beta is the clicking on elements which sometimes didn’t open the settings for in on the left toolbar. What I describe here is right above your reply.
If I should encounter it again I will post a seperate bug again.
