Easy Table of Contents does not work with bricks

I try to use Easy Table of Contents in bricks with the shortcode [ez-toc] but it doesn’t work, only [ez-toc] appears but it doesn’t recognize the html tags of the titles

Hi there.

I just did a demo test with a post with a few different headline levels and it worked for me. I didn’t use the shortcode, but had auto insert enabled (by default).

Is there a reason you need to use the shortcode? You have extensive placement options in the plugin settings.

If that doesn’t work:

Do you have headings set up on the page you’re trying to test? If not, the plugin won’t generate the TOC because it doesn’t see any content.

Any Javascript errors?

I want to put it next to the article, like a sidebar

It’s strange that the shortcode doesn’t work. I have verified that it works.

It could be a plugin conflict, I’d try disabling other plugins till you find the one causing the issue.

Also, you could try the Bricks Table of Content component, that might work for you as something is messing with this plugin.

Hope that helps!

I’m actually using the Bricks Table of Contents component, but I see that I can’t add a number or sign to better differentiate each H2, H3… also, I’m making the sidebar sticky, when the page has a lot of content , no scroll appears. By default this widget has no dropdown function, I have to put it inside a nestable accordion, I tried it, but I don’t like how it displays.

I disabled all unnecessary plugins and everything is still the same. When I insert the shortcode it tells me that it is empty.

At this point, it may be a setting thing within Easy Table of Contents.

I would contact them to have them take a look.

Since I was able to get it to work out of the box, this doesn’t seem to be caused by Bricks.

I tried with another plugin, specifically called Joli Table Of Contents, but it doesn’t work either. I think it would be more likely a brick problem or something strange that I have done
