This will get you started with how to make a magazine site with Bricks Builder.

The Archive template uses two query loops to display 3 posts horizontally at the top of the page and the rest of the posts are displayed vertically below it. This is not possible out-of-the-box, so there is custom code to put in the child theme’s functions.php that targets the loop container IDs. (Thanks to André of Bricks Builder for the code.)
