When I download a Google font via the Font Manager the downloaded font has a lot of styles that don’t seem to belong there.
Example:
The Font “Mulish” has 16 styles listed. When I download the font it gets 80 styles.

However, this is not a bug. The “styles” that are displayed are the respective Unicode ranges provided by Google.
In 2.4 beta, this should be displayed much better, and we still have a task in progress for the original report, which contains further details:
