DUPLICATE: Content doesn't update in the backend

Browser: Firefox latest
OS: Windows 11
URL: backend issue
Video: Short screen recording that illustrates this issue (free tool: jam.dev)

Hi,
I consider this as a bug - when I duplicate an element and then change the content of that element, it doesn’t show up at the backend, but only frontend.

I think this is related to an issue I’ve seen, where when I change an image or update content in certain elements, possible cloned / duped - possibly not, it won’t reflect in the builder only on the frontend. It’s happened several times now.

I’m also seeing things not rendering in query loops in the builder that were pre 1.9.9 too like certain grid images in loops, facets disappearing from WPGB

Recorded here to show query not fully loading all content in (builder loading SLOW) : Jam

Front end actual view of above with thumbs: Jam

Image(s) not updating in builder as above OP post too. Seems that cloning something sets it off: Jam

I have seen that same thing happen with elements that are duplicated (cloned) and then changed. It’s been going on for a long time, going back many versions. Usually it’s a heading or text element. I must refresh the browser to see the builder update. The refresh button in the builder does not work in these cases.

This bug has been acknowledged by support via emails in the past.

I have recently seen this happen with newely added elements in v1.9.8 and v1.9.9-beta. I must refresh the browser to see the changes in the builder.

I can replicate the problem with a regular image element: Jam

Hi guys,
Thanks so much for your report.

The problem has already been reported, but unfortunately we have not yet been able to offer a fix:

I’ll close this thread accordingly.
