Hard to say really. I’m sure Bricks would try to fix a hosting incompatibility if they could. But if it were the issue, it’s more likely they’d suggest to turn this or that feature on or off.
Hey guys! I had the lagging issue a lot, but after increasing the WP memory limit on my localhost, it seems to be much better! I had only 48 MB. Now 256 MB. Be aware that WP memory limit is different from PHP memory limit – I had that on 256 MB before and even now.
How to change the WP memory limit? See the docs Requirements – Bricks Academy
And tell me if it has helped…
P. S. You can see the current settings on the bricks information page in the admin.
doesn’t help. but thanks. no matter if 64mb, 256, 512 or 1024…
After trying to build pages with ACSS and Frames i ended up with a really slow and nt usable Bricks interface.
I know that the ACSS and Frames team insist that the problem is not caused by there plugins / tools.
I know build my website with pure Bricks - so no ACSS and Frames. Takes longer, have to build my own Templates and make my own classes. No performance problems with the Bricks builder at all.
Ok, just throwing it out there.
I have my maiden encounter with lagging in Bricks. (large page but I made larger).
Thing is it coincided with my first time using Grid.
I guess… Most framework users already used grid. So just sharing it it as an option.
For those of you who are lagging badly, please consider installing this:
And creating a jam.dev account.
This tool not only records a video of your session but also a bunch of relevant environmental things such as browser, OS, hosting, memory, network, etc.
Email that link to the support team (don’t post here as it may leak private info).
Help squash that evil bug!
Hi Sylvio,
Since there is a similar topic in [WIP] Performance with Frameworks - #75 by thomas and WIP: Lag in the Builder when pages are complex
I will close this bug report thread.
Thank you very much.
