I have a standard site-wide footer and want a completely different footer for a specific page.
My standard one has conditions set to show sitewide with a separate condition on the individual page set to EXCLUDE…and this works fine.
On my other footer, I have the entire website set to EXCLUDE and then another condition for the specific individual page (I assume if exclude is not selected then this page should be INCLUDEd?)…but no footers show at all.
I have tried removing the exclude on the entire website condition but it still does not show.
There must be something simple I am doing wrong?
You can create separate sections in the Footer Template.
Each section you can set your conditional?
For example:
Section 1 (site wide, but not Page A).
Section 2 (only Page A)
You can do this by saying “if not page ID”, or multiple other ways…
Maybe there’s an easier way to do it… but that’s what I do.
I have 2 sections in Footer Template.
1 Section is for logged out users.
1 Section for Logged in users. (they get a different navigation)
Let me know if you are stuck still!
Here is an alternative using two (2) footer templates:
- Create Sitewide Footer and under page settings set conditions to exclude page(s) for different footer
- Create Page Specific Footer and under page settings set conditions to display in individual page(s)
This is for easy maintanability.
