I noticed that the dark mode toggle is not focussable and you cant make any changes hitting enter. A keyboard user will not be able to change into dark mode and vice versa…

are you sure that this is a Bricks feature / element? I am not aware that a dark mode toggle is included. Are you using ACSS?
