Custom PHP Setting, hooks into functions.php

It would be awesome if we had .php custom code here that hooks into functions.php of the theme

So we can register custom post types, taxonomies, meta boxes, and new thumbnail sizes…etc
for people who knows little bit coding possibilities are endless.

Right now I write my custom PHP codes directly in the bricks theme functions.php
Not ideal but I will not install a snippet plugin just to write a couple lines php hell no

I don’t like child themes why install another theme when you can solve every need in one theme

Isn’t that what the Child theme is there for?

 well you may write your CSS and JS inside Child Theme as well so…

I know I know child-theme

But keep it in mind we already have custom JS, CSS settings and code element with PHP HTML JS CSS execution possibility.

only one thing missing on this list. PHP

This would be great to have!!

I just had a case where a client wanted a custom made weather app on his website where I needed PHP for and I used the new and revamped “Code” element in Bicks 1.10 beta where I have a field for PHP & HTML.
I know, I know. Probably not the best solution  . Please don´t judge me :see_no_evil:

But I would´ve loved to put all the PHP-Code in that exact section that was mentioned above under “Bricks” → “Settings” → “Custom Code”. That would´ve been much cleaner I guess. I hate installing plugins for “Code execution” cause I always like to keep my websites clean and install as little plugins as possible, so having an option for PHP-Code in the backend just as mentioned above that´d be awesome!
And as @sinanisler already said, installing a plugin JUST for a few lines of PHP in some cases is something I absolutely hate, too
