Custom Link Attributes

Hello everyone.

I don’t think the rel attribute is often used, so I suggest replacing it with a free attribute. For example, I could write immediately rel=“nofollow” or data-1=“{post_id}”
What do you think about this?

I use custom attributes in “Elementor”, but it doesn’t work here.

Hi, if you want to use custom attribues you can do so in Element Style > Attributes. Take a look to academy > custom attributes.

I know about the styles tab, but that’s not it. Try to do this for the widget “Icon List” in each link

I see. In that case, you could use a custom JS or PHP function or you could build icon list by yourself directly in the builder as it’s not hard and you can use custom attributes with desired id as well.

I don’t think they will replace rel attribute as it’s needed to specify the relationship between pages

If you don’t know why or how you could find some info here.

I’m going to switch from Elementor to Bricks and I see that a lot of things are missing and will have to be done with my hands. :frowning:

There is lot’s of nice plugins which will help you if you don’t like to do stuff on your own.

Take a look here, there is a bunch of good plugins and tutorials you may want to use.

Are you suggesting that I do what I did with Elementor ? many many unnecessary additions? Thanks, but no!!! The bad thing is that the developers could change a couple of lines of code and everyone is happy. But you’re offering me the wrong way. :frowning: Thanks for the conversation.

If you feel you are not the only one who would benefit from that functionality being implemented natively it would be your best bet to create a feature request:

I tried. Ideas are not accepted. Otherwise there would be 1000 of them

If I may I would suggest you learn a bit of coding and not rely just on builders as they are here to make our job easier not replace us . As I’ve mentioned you can do your listing by building it in builder it’s not that hard  and it can take you a few minutes (without coding). There is plenty of tutorials on youtube or you can use google to do a bit of searching.

If you have a look at the roadmap you can see that there are many features being implemented which were requested by users. So as long as there is a need and people upvote those features they get implemented eventually.

The only thing that does not work is one person calling for a feature and expecting it to be implemented within days.
