Confused about query loop and ACF repeaters

Use case:

Food menu with for a lot of repeaters (Lunch > bread, Lunch > soup, and so on)

I always did this in Oxygen:

  1. Create a field group
  2. Create custom fields (repeater) with a few sub-fields
  3. Copy this custom field as often as needed, change the field name, and keep the sub-fields identical
  4. Throw a repeater in Oxygen, and query the repeater by custom field. Use the same text fields for every (Oxygen) repeater and create different menu sections by simply changing the query.

The problem in Bricks:
I need to populate each loop builder - in this case a food menu - with all unique fields. Can’t I just copy the whole query loop and simply change the custom field as query? I get dozens of options when I look in the dropdown.

Do I misunderstand how this works, or aren’t there options for this in Bricks, like there are in Oxygen? I’m trying to recreate this in Bricks: Best Place Ever - Kwaliteit met een glimlach
