Charsets / Umlaute

Hello everyone

I have a strange error and already searched the internet empty…

Although the site is set correctly (WPLANG / wordpress settings / database collations to utf8mb4_unicode_ci) BricksBuilder shows in the frontend…

RICHTLINIE FüR RüCKERSTATTUNGEN UND RüCKGABEN

instead of

RICHTLINIE FÜR RÜCKERSTATTUNGEN UND RÜCKGABEN

.

This is the first time this has happened to me - I have imported content into the page.
Neither in the database, however, nor in the wordpress backend do the umlaut errors occur.

However, Bricks shows WP language: en_US in the system information?

When I start Bricks, everything is displayed correctly again,
but not on the frontend.

This occurs in the text as well as in the menu.
If I put the menu in a footer template and I open the footer template in Bricks, it displays correctly.
When I edit the home page in Bricks (where the footer template is loaded), also inside the builder the loaded template is displayed in the wrong charset…

If I choose another template (TwentyTwentyOne or TwentyTwentyTwo) everything works fine

Do you guys have any idea?

Hi make,

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like a strange issue  I’ve built some sites in german as well but never had encoding problems.

I think it’s best to send temporary login credentials, a short problem description, and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io (using the email address you’ve used during purchase), so we can take a closer look.

Best regards,
timmse

Hey there. I had almost same issue and I tought it was Bricks bug, so I sent support ticket to Bricks and what they discovered is that if I disable Piotnet Forms Pro, the error goes away.
So maybe is also the same on your site?

I used to have Piotnet Grid, too. Maybe that caused the issue.
When I noticed, that it does not occur on another computer I reinstalled Chrome - fixed
