Hi! i would like to use one of the community templates to make my site, but i couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to change the colors on the template globally. is this possible on bricks? I came from oxygen builder and is used to just changing the color globally on the settings section. thanks for the help!
Hi @kimcheezz
Yes, once you know how it’s very easy to globally change the colours.
You can do so by following these steps:
- Go to a page or template editor
- Click the settings icon in the upper left corner
- Click THEME STYES
- Create a theme or edit your current theme
- Edit the COLORS or any other element of which you’d like to change the default colour.
That’s all!
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions left.
in elements, I located icon box then found icon color but when I change the color and save nothing happens. All other elements seem to update immediately when I try different settings. I am using the demo before buying.
HI Dennis,
This doesn’t seem to work for icons. I found the element icon box but changing the color doesn’t seem to change the icons. I have used a template from the community and all the icon are a color that doesn’t go with my theme colors. The template uses a lot of icons 40+ all the same color teal. I would like to globally change them to orange. Can this be done in bricks?
I think the issue is there are no indicators when settings are being overwritten by another style. When working with templates how can you know the method the designer took to stylize the page. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out why I couldn’t get a background color to change only to find out the gradient option was overwriting the background color or image no matter what I did.
