Canvas RTL support in bricks while everything else is LTR

Hey everyone,

I was wondering about the possibilities of Bricks while in RTL mode. I’ll explain.
If I am changing the builder settings to “RTL”, the only thing that is happening is that the structure panel and builder panel switching sides.
Meaning: The order of which elements are added to the page is still from left to right and then I have to change the order of the items in the structure panel manually.
Let’s say I add a logo, nav and a button. they will be added from left to right, but I actually want my logo on the right side and my button on the left. So then I have to switch them manually in the structure panel, and ofcurse you have to do that for almost everything and it is very confusing to look at.
You can solve that by switching your wordpress language to a RTL language and then the builder acts properly with a true RTL support. I want my wordpress language to be English, I want my builder language to be English and I don’t even care if the panels won’t switch sides - But I do want the order in canvas and panel to be added and managed from right to left.

Any solutions?

  • I will be glad to understand in what manners the “RTL” support is acting (for the knowledge of myself and whoever that will read this in the future).

Just out of curiosity, if you add content while everything is LTR and then switch to a RTL language, does that move the columns as well? My guess is this is more of an HTML thing?

Correct.
The builder RTL/LTR option - just switching panels sides without doing anything else basically.
