Caching for filters

Hi,

FacetWP and WPGridbuilder offer the option of caching, and the effect is nearly instant loading of cached filter results. As far as I can tell, Bricks doesn’t have filter caching yet, only indexing.

I have Redis Object Cache Pro on Cloudways, but I had to deactivate it. It seems to me that one of the recent Bricks updates doesn’t play well with Redis Object Cache, as AJAX filtering and pagination became painfully slow and server monitoring showed CPU spikes to 100% affecting all other sites on my server…

Deactivating object cache makes filtering kind of usable again, but when compared to FacetWP / Gridbuilder with caching on, the loading speed of Bricks filters is kind of mediocre… Usable, but mediocre, when one is used to caching in FacetWP/Gridbuilder.

FacetWP recommends switching off Redis Object Cache, so maybe there is a challenge to make it work with AJAX filters.

So, I would like to suggest a caching feature for the filters, similar to the one in FacetWP and Gridbuilder.

Greetings,
Tom
