It would be nice if there were a way to support the BuddyBoss platform within Bricks. I realize this is way out of scope for Bricks but figure I’d throw it out there.

We currently have an extensive buddyboss site that uses the platform and theme. But it uses Elementor, and I’m curious if BuddyBoss would work well with bricks. I’ll give it a shot and report back.
I’m going to +1 this hard. I also have a pretty heavy duty BBoss theme/platform combo with Elementor. It’s fine, but I’ve found Bricks to be a vastly superior builder for me. I’m also going to give it a shot in the next few months and will be happy to share any learnings.

Quick update here. I very quickly swapped out our BuddyBoss theme for Bricks 2.4 (Beta 2) and deactivated Elementor and Elementor Pro (that’s the whole point, after all).
The good news is that the function all seems to be there. BuddyBoss is, after all, just a fork of BuddyPress and BBPress, both long-standing WP plugins. One of the major pieces I wanted to be sure still worked was the moderation feature in BuddyBoss. Lately, BuddyBoss has been doing a good job of making their platform more portable to other themes, and I’m glad to se ethis functionality works in Bricks, too.
The bad news is that I personally underestimated the amount of styling and refinement BuddyBoss has done with not only the social aspects of it, but with LearnDash, too (my site is very LearnDash-y also). Below is a screenshot of my profile after switching to Bricks.
It’s certainly possible to style all these things, but it would take a decent lift of design work and CSS. Easier now with AI tools, but nonetheless, we’d pretty much be styling everything BuddyBoss and Learndash, and that’s a lot of ‘things’ to style. I tried doing a quick CSS stylesheet using AI and the page source code from the Elementor site, and that did a decent job, but it’s also not just CSS. We’d also need to update some things in the BuddyBoss platform and LearnDash templates themselves to fully replicate what we have with BuddyBoss’s theme.
In short, if it were a new build, I would very likely make the switch, and perhaps down the road. But for now, in our scenario, I think Elementor and the BuddyBoss Theme are working fine. We have bigger fish to fry.
