I was wondering if the menu builder (offcanvas) is ready yet as it is.
I’ve spend the last 2 days creating a menu plus off canvas menu. But I’m at the point where I’m quite seriously frustrated with it.
Really hard to find where to put which setting. Things not working, settings disrupting the header section itself, and top level dropdown elements are extremely hard to style individually from the dropdowns themselves. (Try adding a background on the dropdown heading when opened) i.e.
So the main question is, will the menubuilder be as is, or is it a work in progress?
Disclaimer: absolutely value the work done and what you created. But I do need to calculate some serious extra time if clientsuu want these kinds of menu’s if so.
Also the Back buttons don’t seem to work inside the builder, meaning continuously looking on the front end / clicking the offcanvas.
Selecting ‘keep open when styling’ doesn’t work after a builder refresh. But I’ve had to refresh the builder at least 50 times for changes weren’t rendering.
Styling the off canvas with the ‘style’ section (was setting a min and max height) ended up giving me a black screen on the site when scrolling (that one took a while). Soo… Should we keep a style tab if that shouldn’t be used?
Again; NOT to rant.
But I do feel there’s some work ahead for this one.
Hi
After many thanks to BricksBuilder team and specially Thomas for all their efforts, and saying about how much hopes I have for BrciksBuilder as my first choice in web design projects …
I also think that the menu widgets are very powerful but also needs more options to manage and style it better and easier in general use cases.
I hope and I kindly request the Team to invest more in menu to make working with it more smooth, with more options with less efforts and less time consuming to make a final job, to achieve a better workflow and also a better results without custom CSS code in general use cases.
For example
An option to set close button location in absolute positions. So we can set the position of close button where ever we want.
An option to set arrows stay in the edge of the menu container , so when a visitor click (tap) on any part of a menum even in white space of an item it works fine, which currently they have to tap on text or arrow to work. Also it will be more inline and more good looking. ( in LTR , the ability to set the position of arrows in right side of the container and all of them in vertical line in all mobile menu widgets)
Make every option exists in LTR, available for RTL too. (sometimes we need custom CSS for some of styling in RTL)
All of them make BricksBuilder more powerful and enjoyable to work with and make us spend less time in every project for designing a menu.
