Bricks form actions/duplicate response question

hello comrades!

i think i have a stupid question but wanna double check :rofl:

on forms, is it redundant to have “Email⌧” selected under ACTIONS, if CONFIRMATION EMAIL is also filled out?

or is “Email⌧”under ACTIONS pertaining to emailing me an alert that the form has been filled out? and it will follow the instructions provided in the EMAIL tab of the form element content?

i seem to be having duplicate form submission confirmation emails sending to the form submitter and am trying to diagnose the source, if it’s my smtp or a mis-configuration in my settings.

i think it’s also possible they could have clicked submit twice super fast? but then i would’ve gotten the email that two forms were submitted i think?

from what i can tell, under ACTIONS when you select something, it pops up a new tab to configure for that action. so i have that configured to send me an alert with the form info. i just still can’t understand why the confirmation email is firing twice, as if it was submitted twice accdientally, i believe i would be getting two form submitted notifications but i’m not :thinking:

I am also seeing two confirmation emails being sent on form submission. I’m not using SMTP, rather PHP, but I’ve not seen this (yet) on other forms.

Oddly enough, the confirmation email(s) send, but the notification emails fail.

Anyone else seeing duplicate emails being sent from Bricks forms? Is this a bug?
