Bricks Filter Builder (Proposal)

Hi team,

When we use Bricks, we have a world of features, without even installing a plugin. One of the plugins I always use on store websites is the jet smart filters plugin.

I think about how much more powerful bricks will be than now if it has a powerful filtering system so that we don’t need any other plugins to filter products.

What I have in mind :

Of course, I see that Native Sorting & Filtering is on the roadmap. I just hope this is a powerful filtering that easily removes jet smart filters.

Some features that are very important for Filter Builder :

  1. indexing filters
  2. Auto Re-indexing
  3. counter for filters
  4. ajax support for filters
  5. Dynamic display of filters (Suppose we have a size filter (for clothing size) and a glass type filter (for glasses) in the product archive. When the user enters the glasses category, the size filter (for clothing) is automatically removed from the glasses category. In general, if there is no product matching the filter in the product archive, the filter widget will be hidden automatically.)

Yeah fingers crossed it can replace another plugin. Hopefully thats being releases soon. Most important part on the roadmap for me personally.

Filters for WC products are a big problem in Bricks. They work with errors, which makes the site very slow, and the builder loads very slowly if there are filters. Contacted support by email, but they didn’t hear me :roll_eyes:

I hope someday Bricks will add normal filters. In the meantime, I’m having to agonize with the product pages.

If you haven’t got a tick to add filters to Bricks, now’s the time to do it
