Best way of uploading font with Wordpress default blocking permissions?

I have had to upload local fonts now for two websites, and each time I have had Wordpress block me. I finally managed through a MIME type plugin, but I saw the video of “custom fonts” of Bricks and the tutorial doesn’t even mentions permissions.

Wondering if anyone has any ways to make this process easier without extra plugins. Lots of stackoverflow suggestion don’t seem to work no more (I am pretty fluent in PHP/Wordpress so quite sure I did it right)

It would be nice if Happyfiles (bought that plugin!) could have native MIME permissions for uploading.

I don’t have any issues when directly uploading my fonts into the Meda Library of WordPress.

If this doesn’t work for you, the easiest way is to put them in the Meda Library using FTP. In case you didn’t know, the folder is located in /wp-content/uploads in most cases

Thanks Dennis for your reply. FTP data wasn’t given yet at the time of writing.

I think it might be this particular hoster that has some extra restrictions that made uploading a bit weird or non-conventional. I tried on another hoster and it works fine.

Because time is of the essence on this client project, someone suggested font hero by dplugins, which I bought and helped me (and has bricks integration)

I will mark it it answered for now.
