AI in the Future of Bricks (For frontend)

Hello community,

We saw a post on Bricks Facebook about AI in the future of Bricks, which sounds great. But one thing that caught my attention was that AI in Bricks only helps create websites. But it doesn’t bring anything to customers and website visitors. In fact, it’s just an idea and a suggestion, nothing more.

Many e-commerce websites are, over time, offering services that increase user experience and conversion rates. I would like to mention some of them below. Some of them may seem outside the realm of Bricks, but they’re worth thinking about.

1- Search by image
Customers can search for their desired product using the image.

2- Summary of user reviews for products
Each product page has a summary of user reviews. This helps users get enough information without having to read the entire review of other users.

3- Smart chat on frontend
Using a chat panel on the frontend, users can ask questions about the product they are looking for, get information, or track the status of their orders. For example, a customer describes the product they are looking for and receives a link to it. Incredibly useful and a game changer.

Best regards

No! Keep AI out of Bricks.

These suggestions don’t seem like core bricks functionality but rather features handled by plugins or custom code imo. Chatgpt/gemini could write write php snippet to handle #1 and #2 in minutes. #3 chatbot plugins exist to do this already.

AI assistance in bricks I’d like to see but in certain areas like custom query php generation or a php code generation in a “code” element. Maybe even dummy text and image creation could be interesting, for example a container element with 4 cards each containing an svg icon, header text, and description and AI fills it all with dummy content but meaningful. I could see some other time saving ideas outside of bricks like “create header and footer template and assign to entire website. Create bricks pages for home page, about-us, contact-us, faq pages”.

AI isn’t a necessity for bricks but some areas it could be a very good assistant, but let’s do it gradually.

This has nothing to do with a page builder.
