With the upcoming Dynamic Data Tag: WooCommerce Cart Count on the idea borad, it would be highly valuable to introduce a complete set of Dynamic Data tags related to cart totals. This would allow developers and designers to build fully customizable Cart Totals sections without limitations.
Suggested Dynamic Data tags:
- Cart Subtotal
Display the total price of products before any discounts are applied. - Cart Discount (Amount / Percentage)
Display the total discount applied to the cart, either as a fixed amount or as a percentage. - Cart Total
Display the final payable amount after discounts, taxes, and additional fees. - Cart Total Weight
Display the total weight of products in the cart, which is especially useful for weight-based stores.
All of these Dynamic Data tags should support live updates on the cart page when product quantities change, ensuring real-time synchronization without page reloads.
Implementing these features would significantly improve integration with WooCommerce, enhance design flexibility, reduce the need for custom code, and most importantly, help improve the overall customer experience by providing clear, transparent, and dynamic pricing information.
