WIP: WPML Translation: Popup interactivity gets lost

Hi @dmachado,

The solution would only work for newly translated pages. Can you try re-translating the page or manually setting the correct popup ID on the translated page?

Hi @Matej and @charaf ,
I just stumbled on this issue with one of my clients. They have 1.11.1.1 installed, I completely deleted the translated content (for both the page and the popup), but it still doesn’t work. I would really like to keep the secondary content translated by the translation editor, and not change the content manually in bricks. Could you advise please?

Hi @bence,

I saw your email ticket first so let’s continue our conversation there.

@charaf we also face still the same issue. Could you please either describe how to set up popups or let us know if bug persist?

This is still a bug, in the latest version Bricks Builder 1.12.3, the translated interactions (popups) doesn’t work, elements are not clickable.

Hi @JUVO_Justin & @neopixel, I apologize for not updating the forum thread earlier regarding our investigation into the issue on @bence’s website. We discovered that there are still instances where the popup interaction is lost after translation. Specifically, this occurs when the interaction’s trigger is set to “Start animation.” We have added this scenario to our bug tracker, and I have changed the forum thread’s title back to “WIP” to reflect this.

Hello,
I felt on this thread when looking to solve my problem with popups and WPML. I reckon this is not solved yet ? I don’t understand the comment

I have a basic interaction

but it does not open in the translated language.
Thanks,
Philippe

I’m surprised in a negative way how many bugs there are with bricks ↔ WPML. I used to build in Elementor and didn’t think for a second about the possibility that WPML does not play nicely with bricks, now at the end of a complex project this falls on my feet.

Regarding this issue, looking that the selection here i have two popups (the template has been translated).

Now the only option i have is go through all the places and change the popup

which I’ve tried now. But it still doesn’t work. Should I open a support ticket?

EDIT: Tried resolving it with Bricks 2.0 RC - but the popups are sadly still not working on the translated page.

You mean you’ve tried to edit the translated page manually in Bricks and you’re still facing issues? If so, best to share access to help@bricksbuilder.io as the bug in this thread is specifically about automatic translation.

@charaf Sadly, for me this bug still persists. Doesn’t matter if i set the interaction to show element or start animation. Just created a new popup and new page + translations. Bricks v1.12.4.

Edit: Got it to work after another iteration through the translation editor, interaction is “show”. “Start animation” still not working :*)

Hello,
I was hoping that this would be fixed in Bricks 2.0, but it seems that this remain. Any estimate on when this will be fixed ? Any workaround to open a popup ?
Thanks,
Philippe

Yes, I have still have this issue on all my WPML sites on Bricks 2.0.1. I use popups with start animation and it doesn’t work. I have to go back into the Bricks editor and set them again. If I make any edits to the translation, I have to go and set them again. Quite annoying if you have a few popups across the website. I’d love an update on if this is going to be fixed anytime soon. It’s been an issue for quite some time now.
