WIP: Variable picker: "Uncategorized" doesn't remember the open state

now that there will be always more than one variable groups thanks to colors group that means we have to click one extra click to size group every single time when we need a variable set or change

this means for every variable need i have to make 2x click
not good

recommended solution: if we make the last opened variable group remembered kept open on every Variables click that will improve this ux

thanks

when you are working 20-30+ page design enterprise website projects you do click this stuff alot

imagine every page having 5-6 section average and atleast 2-3 of them unique different sections
gaps
sizes
paddings
margins

now calculate how many extra clicks all of this makes and tell me if it is silly again

this is nothing to do with vibe coding.

this is about workflows and bricks editor user experience and user interface

and
your suggestion up there doesnt even makes sense i didnt say pre open i said “last opened variable group remembered kept open”

clearly you dont know what you are talking about from ux perspective or miss my point
if someone clicks to variable that means they need to see variables obviously
that doesnt block anything because user needs that variable list to be open

it is clear you didnt even understand what i was suggesting up there.

either way you made your point. thank you.

Guys, all this bickering and arguing about different workflows or approaches isn’t really getting us anywhere—please stay on topic, and let’s respect the fact that there can be different opinions. This applies to everyone involved. It’s a feature request like any other, which may or may not be implemented sooner or later. Relax

Hi @sinanisler,
I just checked this again. Actually, the opened categories are already stored in local storage (2.4 beta 2), so when you switch to a different element or even do a soft builder reload, they should be open by default.

The only category where this doesn’t work is “Uncategorized”

I’ll move his thread to bugs, and we’ll update it once it’s fixed.
