SOLVED: Dragging first element to canvas doesn't work

Browser: Firefox 113.0.2 , Edge 114.0.1823.37
OS: Windows / Linux / etc.
URL: Nil

  1. Open a new template - eg. Heading - Open/Edit with Bricks
  2. Add first Section - click the canvas +
  3. Add a Container - drag into canvas works
  4. Attempt to add a Heading element - drag onto canvas does not work, (double click with Container selected works, drag to Structure works)

Any ideas - thanks
Alex

Yep, nice bug. :slightly_smiling_face:

It works for me in all template types except header & footer templates.

Hi Alex,
Thanks so much for your report, and welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, I’m struggling on reproducing the issue. Would you (or macksix) be so kind as to provide a screencast using https://birdeatsbug.com or https://jam.dev showing and explaining what’s going on? Please use one of the tools mentioned, because they log every single step, making it possible to reproduce the issue.

Best regards,
timmse

Thanks @macksix and @timmse. See here for the clip

As macksix noted, I was in a header template - my first header of my first project :frowning:

Here ya go, but it doesn’t show dragging and dropping the heading element. :slightly_smiling_face:

Here is a screen recording that shows drag & drop that doesn’t work.

Hey guys,
Thanks so much for the videos!

I can reproduce the problem in Firefox, but in Chrome everything works fine for me. This will probably not be so easy…

timmse
