What type of relation the template conditions have?

What type of relation the template conditions have?
It seems to be “AND” but adding extra conditions to a more specific template does renders the same template.
ex:
TEMPLATES
General Template:
conditions:

  • by post_type: page

General Template:
conditions:

  • by post_type: page
  • by specific taxonomy

PAGE LOAD
General Page : renders with specific template
Specific Page with specific taxonomies: renders with specific template

Have you tried to exclude the specific taxonomy from the general template?

Thanks, I solve it.
But for other hand, how can I render specific page with specific template without setting it in the template conditions? Ideally inside wp page editor… Like Oxygen Builder does.

Hey,

The only way to apply a template is by using the template conditions (or inserting the template directly into the page). Unfortunately, you cannot select the template within a dropdown or something, but that sounds like a pretty solid idea for the idea board.
