Environment
WordPress: Latest version
WooCommerce: 11.1
Bricks: 2.4
Previous Bricks version: 2.3.13
Site direction: RTL
Page: WooCommerce Checkout

Issue
After updating Bricks from 2.3.13 to 2.4, the WooCommerce Checkout page enters an infinite update/refresh loop.
The checkout content is continuously refreshed:
Checkout content starts updating.
The update completes.
wc-ajax=update\_order\_review / WooCommerce checkout-related AJAX requests are triggered again.
The checkout updates again.
The same process repeats indefinitely.
As a result, the checkout never reaches a stable state and the page continuously performs AJAX requests.
In the browser’s Network tab, WooCommerce fragment/checkout-related requests can be seen being triggered continuously.
Reproduction
Use WooCommerce 11.1.
Use Bricks 2.4.
Create/open a standard WooCommerce Checkout page built with Bricks.
Open the checkout page on an RTL website.
Observe the Network tab and checkout content.
The checkout repeatedly triggers AJAX updates without stopping.
Regression
The issue does not occur with Bricks 2.3.13.
I tested the same website by rolling Bricks back from 2.4 to 2.3.13, and the problem immediately disappeared.
So, based on this test:
Bricks 2.3.13 → No issue
Bricks 2.4 → Infinite WooCommerce Checkout AJAX/update loop
No other changes were made between these tests.

Hi @yusuf

Thanks for the report.

Can you please explain your setup clearly with some screenshots?

1. Did you enable " Enable advanced modular element"?
2. Is your checkout page using the V1 (shortcode + template way), V2 or V2 multistep setup?

Please provide a URL for me to check if possible, because I cannot replicate this issue locally.

Regards.
Jenn

Hi @itchycode

I’ve just updated the website again for testing. The checkout is using **V1 (shortcode + template way)**.

Since the website is in production, I had to downgrade Bricks back to **2.3.13 immediately** after confirming the issue, so the problem is not currently reproducible on the live site.

I’ll try to provide screenshots of the behavior and the relevant Network requests from the test

Regards,
Yusuf

Hi @yusuf

Thank you so much for the details.

Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this issue on 2.4 using the V1 (shortcode + template) setup. Maybe you need to clear cache (if any) and clear your WooCommerce cart sessions too. (WooCommerce \> Status \> Tools)

If it’s still the same, please set up a cloned staging site and send credentials to [help@bricksbuilder.io](mailto:help@bricksbuilder.io) so we can investigate. (Please use your purchased license email and include this forum thread URL as a reference)

I had this exact same issue. Regressing to Bricks 2.3.13 fixed it.

I use YayCommerce as well which may have been triggering something.

**Subject: WooCommerce Checkout AJAX Refresh Loop After Bricks Update (2.3.13 → 2.4+)**

Hi Bricks Team,

After upgrading Bricks from **2.3.13 to a newer version** , our WooCommerce checkout began repeatedly refreshing its order summary and payment section.

**Symptoms:**

- Continuous AJAX requests to `?wc-ajax=update_order_review` and `?wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments`.

- Checkout repeatedly refreshes for several seconds before eventually settling.

- Disabling PayPal and reCAPTCHA and clearing caches did not resolve the issue.

**JavaScript debugging identified this sequence:**

```auto
WooCommerce updated_checkout
    ↓
YayCurrency forcePaymentOnCheckoutPage
    ↓
WooCommerce cart-fragments refresh
    ↓
Bricks bricksWooSyncCartState
    ↓
WooCommerce update_checkout
    ↓
AJAX update_order_review
```

The relevant Bricks script is:

`/wp-content/themes/bricks/assets/js/integrations/woocommerce.min.js`

**Confirmed resolution:**

Downgrading Bricks back to **2.3.13 immediately resolved the issue** , without changing WooCommerce or YayCurrency.

This suggests a regression or compatibility issue in the newer Bricks WooCommerce cart synchronisation logic, potentially involving YayCurrency.

Could you investigate whether `bricksWooSyncCartState` is unnecessarily triggering `update_checkout` following cart fragment updates?

Happy to provide the full JavaScript console trace if required.

Thanks!

Hi @PeteN

Thanks for the additional detail. We need to know how to set up the Yaycurrency plugin, or whether a certain configuration is required to replicate the issue. Is it a paid or free version? I installed the plugin but do not know how to trigger that endless JS issue.

It would be best if you could send staging site admin access to [help@bricksbuilder.io](mailto:help@bricksbuilder.io)
So we can follow your plugin setup and replicate the issue. (Please include this forum thread in the email as a reference)

Hi Jenn, I do have a staging site. I will email you. I notice upgrading to 3.4.4 didn’t not help ☹
