SOLVED: Selecting a product variation won't load its image on the viewer on mobile

I’m working on a live online store and am facing the following issue:

When selecting a product variation the variation image is not shown on the gallery viewer. It might however be shown on the gallery thumbnails (not every time).
And on the gallery slider there’s a second –less important– issue: often the page of the slider that contains the corresponding thumbnail is not loaded correctly, so it is not visible right away. You have to search for it by moving around the thumbnails slider.

On desktop the viewer shows the corresponding image of the selected swatch, but the thumbnails are mixed up. Please watch the video, as it’s complicated to explain the issue.


Overall this is being a quite frustrating experience for me and the client, as I’m working on a live site were several orders are recently being made every day.

Yesterday I looked for other reports explaining the same issue but din’t find one.
This one is related but not the same I think, only the last point is similar to what I explain, but with a different behavior (it’s rather related to using 2 attributes). Also on my report there are different issues on mobile and desktop.

I think they are different enough to leave it open. This way if there’s more people that come across the same issue there’s more chance they find a report that reflects it. But it’s indeed up to you.

Hello Stefan. Please excuse me for the delay. I’ve just cloned the site on a staging environment and sent the access details via email.
As on the original website I kept making changes after sending the report, now when goin back to the previous state to clone the site it seems like the issue is different. On mobile it’s still behaving weirdly, but it seems to work fine on desktop.

Thank you for sharing access. We were able to replicate the issue, which only occurs when there are more than one product gallery element on the page (even if only one of them is visible and the others are hidden). We have added this to our bug tracker.

As with any pre-stable release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment. The more feedback we get, the better :v:
