SOLVED : Cannot select Posts in “Populate Content” for Single Post template (only Pages appear)

Hi,

I’m running into an issue with Bricks Builder when trying to preview content inside a Single Post template.

I created a Bricks template with type Single (Post) and set the display condition to apply to Posts. The template is correctly applied on the frontend — my blog posts use this template without any problem.

However, inside the builder, when I go to:

Template Settings → Populate Content

I select:

Content Type → Single (Post/Page/CPT)

But in the second dropdown, I only see Pages listed — no Posts — even though I have multiple published blog posts with content and featured images.

Because of this, I can’t properly preview my dynamic elements (post content, featured image, meta, etc.) while editing the template.

What I’ve already checked:

  • Posts are published

  • Post type is enabled in Bricks settings

  • Template conditions are correctly set to Posts

  • Cache has been cleared

  • Regenerated Bricks files

Is there something I’m missing that would prevent Posts from appearing in the Populate Content dropdown?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried searching for the post you want to populate? Sometimes pages are just shown, but if you start a search of the post title, posts will be shown as well.

Yes, that works! Thanks for the tip
