WIP: Color Palette: Opacity don't show on frontend when editing an existing color

Bricks Version: 1.5 beta
Browser: Brave latest
OS: macOS
URL: https://23.discofever.co.uk

I have a section with a background image. I have set the background color of the container inside it to black but would like to apply some opacity.

I am using the color palette to do this, dragging the slider back to 0.7.

When I save, and view the site on the front end, the opacity has gone and it has reverted back to a solid color yet I can see the opacity in the builder.

If I select another element in the builder, the opacity disappears.

Hi Ian,
Thanks so much for your report!

I guess you already have a “black” color in the palette, select it then change the opacity, right? Unfortunately, this doesn’t update the color on the frontend. I was able to reproduce the issue and added it to our bug tracker.

Without selecting an existing color, it works as expected. So please shift the lightness slider to the left, lower the opacity and hit save.

Best regards,
timmse
