the back text for multilevel dropdown is hidden or not working! i cant find it any where.

I do not understand your report. The back text appears if you have several levels (= multilevel) in your dropdown, i.e. at least one dropdown in the dropdown.

The back text can’t be set for first level of dropdown?
It seems, it just be shown for second dropdown?
Right, because the first level is a „single-level" and not a multi-level.

I think in more complicated multilevel list we need to set back text for first level too

Please show an example - I have difficulties understanding the scenario.
No matter how deep the multilevel dropdown is, you always end up in the first top-level dropdown when you return from the deeper dropdown levels (level by level).
You can’t go further back than that

Sorry for the late reply.
I’ll stick with it: your menu is not a multilevel dropdown, because it only has one level and a multilevel only applies from +two levels.
You have to use custom code for your use case as already done, because we didn’t have any further request for it. If we get more reports on this topic, we will certainly take a look at it
