I love the new search and filter functionality but it would be even better if the meta fields and taxonomy terms were searchable as well instead of just post titles and text in the block editor.

No I didn’t find any solution. I was actually just testing out the features when they came out a year ago and noticed it wasn’t working at the time. I haven’t needed it for a real project yet so I haven’t played around with filters in awhile. I thought I heard they fixed it awhile back but apparently not. Probably because they started focusing on components instead.
