Issues with class styling for embedded Bricks templates within pages

Has anyone had any issues with plugins interfering with embedded Bricks templates styles within pages? The affected styles are class styles and not ones inputted in the element.

I’ve reached out to the developer of the offending plugin for support but, I was wondering if anyone else has encountered anything like this before?

Here are the details of my particular issue, if you are interested:

I have the BricksUltimate plugin installed and the ‘MiniCart’ feature enabled.

In experimenting, I’ve noticed that when I have embedded Bricks Templates (tested using the Bricks template module and shortcodes in the page builder), that styles are showing/not showing depending on whether or not there is an item in the cart or not.

When the BU Mini Cart has an item in the cart, the embedded template class remains and is visible in the Inspector pane. But, when BU MiniCart is empty (or feature is disabled) the styles for that class of the embedded Bricks template are not showing in Inspector. BU Mini cart is stripping styles from embedded templates (both Bricks Template module and Bricks Shortcode module)

Tested and confirmed logged out/non-registered users in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari in regular and Incognito/private screens.

Hi @ryanmvickerman,

this seems like a BU MiniCart issue. You said you contacted the developer, did he respond?

Thanks for commenting!

I was just wondering if anyone has run into this issue with other plugins. Perhaps I should change the category of the post…my bad.

But, yes…I’ve reached out to the developer and it’s been crickets. I guess I have to find a work around.

Oh, yeah  Then Bugs category is/was not right  I’ve removed the “WAIT” prefix, as it’s not a bug, and it’s now in the correct category.

Now, to answer your question. Yes, there are plugin conflicts every once in a while, but I never encountered this one. At least not that I remember it now.
Most of the time, plugin developers solve it by updating the plugin - if that’s not possible, then you have to find a workaround.

Out of curiosity, what is Mini Cart element from Bricks missing?

Best regards,
Matej

Great…thanks for fixing it!

Regarding your Minicart question, I used the BU Minicart for my build because it offers more granular control of the functionality and appearance than the stock Bricks Minicart.

I REALLY wish Bricks would build out features like BricksUltimate for Woocommerce! BU is great but, organization and documentation are not their strength. Version updates often involve rebuilds and the documentation is near-zero or vague at best…often just silent Youtube videos with no written instructions. Immensely frustrating.

Ah, I see. Thanks for response and clarification about BU MiniCart features.
