May I express my opinion? Why rush developers when there are more important things to do? There are still many unsolved problems due to errors. There are still questions about security organization. There are still questions about the speed of the interface in some projects. But if you don’t pay attention to this and create even more soap bubbles, then of course… you need more new functionality and more questions and errors
I see the Global Components is now In Progresss.
If this is released will this enable us to make Gutenberg blocks as well? Something like GutenBricks? Or will it be just within Bricks Builder?
Yes, I watched this video, but there is no mention of the Gutenberg compatibility
Is this still being worked on? That video from Thomas is 9 months ago. Surprised nothing has come out yet?
yep we are still waiting
my guess is security updates delayed this feature a bit.
It is rather astonishing how this is still not addressed. But I assume it will be the main feature of Bricks 2.0.
Currently, it’s the largest gaping whole in the builder. Even Wordpress core with patterns offers a better solution for repeatable content. I currently (with Bricks) have to create a Template, and then add it as a Shortcode on any page I need that specific section. Rarely will the Shortcode content display correctly on the backend. To edit you have to leave the page, go into templates, locate the template, make certain it is indeed the correct template linked to the Shortcode, click into it, and only then can you edit the content there which is rather tedious.
yep
Hi guys,
We’ve implemented components in Bricks 1.12 BETA, now available as a manual download (Bricks – Account)
You can see the full changelog here: Bricks 1.12 Changelog – Bricks
Please let us know if you experience any issues with them.
As with any beta release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.
Best regards,
Matej
