Hi,
This is just a crude idea. But I think using Dynamic data picker could be much simpler while still maintaining the current behavior (manual typing).
This approach has several advantages. For example:
- Configuring complex parameters (such as date formatting, padding, or fallbacks) through clean popover input fields and dropdowns, eliminating manual code typing and syntax memorization.
- Displays dynamic data as distinctive, yellow-themed smart chips that separate variables from plain text, preventing visual clutter and accidental bracket deletion.
- Displays tag-specific controls relevant to the active data type—such as start-at and pad text inputs for Loop index, or date format selectors for post_date.
- Seamless single-click switcher between Visual Mode (Chips) and Classic Text Mode to ensure advanced users retain maximum speed and direct syntax control.
- Allows direct editing of raw Bricks syntax inside the settings popover, instantly syncing visual UI controls and updating the live canvas preview in real time.
I have only prepared a conceptual design for it. I hope I have conveyed my meaning correctly.
