“it seems the direct link & opening with nestable tabs and accordions from Bricks v.1.8.6 does work via the menu link or via a text link that is on another page .” This was the feature that was added. It’s watching the URL for the hash when the page loads, it isn’t listening for clicks on the current page.

I assume you are on Bricks v1.8.6 and this is what you are trying to do.

At the moment, the automatic opening is only implemented on page load. The developers might add the functionality for same page opening.
