# DUPLICATE: Color picker is not using variable

**Hello, when you select a color from the color picker it add the color code hex** #000000 instead of the variable. Just upgrade to version 2.3.3, the issue was not happening on previous version.

Hey @iancoup and welcome to the forum 🥳

This seems to be the same issue as the following:

We are aware of it and will fix it in next version. Please follow the topic above, as that one is the one that we will update once the release is fixed. Meanwhile, I’ll close this topic and mark it as duplicate, so that we collect feedback only on one topic.
