Changing from DIVI to Bricks

We are leaving DIVI behind for bricks.
In the process of doing that I can’t help but wonders what happens to all of the previous pages.
For example, if I create a new “About Us” page in bricks, the old one with all the DIVI code is still there.
I can’t delete it while Bricks is in charge.
is there a suggested procedure, such as:
1). Create the new page in bricks.
2). Change active theme back to DIVI
3). Delete the old page
4). Switch theme back to bricks.

Rinse and repeat?

Divi’s content is all wrapt up in Divi code so I’m afraid rebuilding the site in Bricks is the only real option.

Maybe you can convert it to Gutenberg as “normal” WordPress content.

If you own Divi you might be able to install just the page builder instead of the Theme as an attempt to not break the content while you run the Bricks theme to rebuild it. But i am not 100% sure this will work, so first test it out.

Page links if set dynamic update dynamic, so i would make the new page with some prefix for the new Bricks page and link to all the new Bricks pages. Then when ready just change all the names.

you could try this method that removes the code form the pages

I’ve now developed a repeatable solution for this. I rebuild the pages in Bricks on a staging site while preserving the original URLs and SEO data. Pages use Bricks components, while blog content is cleaned from Divi shortcodes and converted to Gutenberg blocks. Once everything passes QA, the rebuilt site replaces the old version—no repeated theme switching or unnecessary redirects.

I documented the complete workflow here: https://nudinlubis.com/divi-to-bricks-ai-migration-workflow/
