biggest porblem for me is the guessing game when wpml may appear (at least it sounds as it is confirmed to show up) . without any official statement for months. in terms of trust this is getting some kind of problematic.

If all your templates are based on LTR! you can use translatepress!
TranslatePress won’t allow a different domain/language
Can you explain this?
You have a single WP site to manage, but you use a different domain for every language:
English: mycompany.com
German: mycompany.de
Spanish: mycompany.es
and so on.

I’ve never done this before! since most of the websites I’ve managed run 2 languages!
Polylang does it too!
I hope WPML support will be released soon. I live in small country where we speak 3 languages and we are impatient to build our next websites with Bricks 
You can use it already. We use Bricks with WPML.
