Hi,
I’m developing a plugin that provides AI skills/abilities for Core Framework, and I’m using Agent Connector for WP as the MCP connection between WordPress and coding agents such as Codex.
Agent Connector already bundles wordpress/mcp-adapter and exposes WordPress Abilities through a single MCP connection.
I’d like that same MCP connection to expose both my Core Framework abilities and the Bricks abilities, without configuring a second MCP connection specifically for Bricks.
My questions are:
- Does Bricks require the standalone WordPress MCP Adapter plugin to be installed and active, or is it enough that
wordpress/mcp-adapteris already provided by Agent Connector for WP? - How does Bricks detect that MCP Adapter is available? Does it check for the standalone plugin specifically, or for the underlying API/classes/functions?
- If Bricks doesn’t detect Agent Connector’s bundled MCP Adapter in the UI, are the
bricks/*abilities still registered and exposed through the existing MCP Adapter? - Should Bricks + Agent Connector for WP be enough for a single MCP server to expose both
bricks/*and my plugin’s abilities?
The goal is to have one WordPress MCP connection in Codex through which the agent can use both Core Framework and Bricks abilities in the same workflow.
