Background Image Controls Available On All Breakpoints When Background Image Applied To Desktop

Hi,

When you add a background image to the desktop breakpoint, it then shows the controls (height, width, position, etc). However, when you are making the site responsive for all screen sizes, the controls are not available and you have to upload the image again in that breakpoint to open the controls again.

This logic might have been applied as a best practice to make sure you are optimizing images for each breakpoint, however sometimes you do not need to use a different image, so the ability to access the controls without having to add a new image would be great.

@Michael

I totally agree with you.

This is what I wanted to report early time. It’s great you have reported it.

Hope that they will have this improvement.

Yes. This would be a great idea. Using a smaller size of the same image for each Media Query.

So do you have to set the image and size for each breakpoint or is the image size automatically scaled down for smaller breakpoints? I do not want to load a 1920px wide image on mobile, that’s insane!
