# Backend for? bricks/element/set\_root\_attributes and bricks/element/render\_attributes

Hi guys!

regarding the filter bricks/element/set\_root\_attributes and bricks/element/render\_attributes it only works on the frontend? How can we also apply to the builder rendering too?

solution and example

this adds custom attributes to the targeted core bricks elements

because it is native bricks hook both frontend and backend with render it.

**BUT you need to refresh the editor to see the change** I dont know how to solve that yet  
maybe someone from team can help for that 🙂
